IBS Survival Kit: What Goes in It?
One of the most important things when you have IBS is to be prepared. Part of the awkwardness and embarrassment and discomfort comes from a lack of preparation, and being caught in the middle of an episode.
Well no more, you'll finally be prepared for any emergency with an IBS survival kit.
What goes into your survival kit is all up to you. However, if you don't know where to start Codie suggests that you add the basics to your kit, like:
- Medication/medicine (i.e. Imodium.)
- A pack of tissues.
- Unfragranced wet wipes.
- Hand sanitizer.
- A snack that is IBS safe.
- Peppermint tea bags.
- Air freshener (i.e. Poo-Pourri.)
If you see something that's not listed above, you can add in the additional tools that have helped you in previous episodes. It doesn't just have to be only the items listed above.
Just remember this: the most important thing is to have your survival kit ready to go, whether it's for traveling, day-to-day life, or a day when you'll be away from home.
